The Knoxville Writers’ Guild will meet at the Laurel Theater tonight at 7. Local writers will read from, and discuss, their work. A $2 donation is requested.
At 8 p.m., California singer/songwriter Joey English will team up with British-born Knoxville resident David Clifton for a performance at the Square Room. Matt Honkonen and Rob Kronen will also perform. Tickets are $10-$12. Buy them here.

The Museum of Appalachia in Clinton will have an all-day (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) Fourth of July celebration, capped off with an anvil shoot. It’s $5-$15 to attend.
The Marble Springs State Historic Site will also celebrate all day (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and will ring traditional bells at 2 p.m. Storytelling, re-enactments, and more will also happen. It’s free to attend!
At noon in the visitor center downtown, Voodoo Pharmacology will perform for WDVX’s Blue Plate Special. Take your friends and family! It’s free to attend!

Saturday is Market Day on Market Square! It’ll be there till 2 p.m., so you can take your time if you need to recover.
Lenoir City’s annual fireworks and Independence Day celebration Rockin’ the Docks will kick off at Lenoir City Park at 1 p.m.
