The Daily Plan-It: Chess Camp, Einstein Simplified, and Avers

Good morning! Take a look at what’s going on around town today.

Scholastic Chess Camp starts today at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at 10 a.m. It’s a free camp for kids to go sharpen their chess skills. For more info call (865) 360-6706 or email Michael Moore at mmoore4ube@gmail.com.

At noon in the visitor center, catch Shan Taylor perform for WDVX’s Blue Plate Special along with Pale Root. It’s free to attend!

Knoxville’s longest-running comedy troupe Einstein Simplified will perform at Scruffy City Hall tonight at 8. The show’s free to attend! 21+ only.

Wrap up the night at the Pilot Light where Virginia indie rockers Avers (featuring members of the Head and the Heart) will perform, along with the Tim Lee 3. The show starts at 10. Cover’s $5. 18+ only.
