The Daily Plan-It: WUOT Open House, ‘Titus Andronicus,’ and Chris Botti

Good morning! It’s almost the weekend, and there’s plenty of cool stuff going on around town today to keep you busy. Take a look.

At noon in the visitor center, Randall Kent Wilkerson will perform for WDVX’s Blue Plate Special, along with Tatiana Hargreaves and Ethan Jodziewicz. As always, it’s free to attend.

WUOT-FM’s annual open house goes from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the UT Communications Building (room 209). Visitors can meet the staff, explore the station, listen to live music, enjoy treats (!!), learn about news story editing, experience the recording booth, have your picture drawn, and win prizes. The more the merrier! It’s free to attend! More info here.

Need to fit in a workout? Head over to Southside Baptist Church for some zumba at 6 p.m. It’s $5 to participate.

And don’t forget—the Tennessee Stage Company is still in the middle of Shakespeare on the Square performances! Tonight’s is Titus Andronicus, one of Shakespeare’s bloodiest plays (and also one of his most popular during his life). The show starts at 7 p.m. on Market Square. It’s free to attend!
